Hi everyone. My name is Roxanne Wright and this is my education blog. I am a 22 year old licensed preschool teacher, who is currently studying Elementary Education and Theater in college. I have been meaning to post some of the things that we have been working lately, sorry I am so behind! Last week we were working on main idea and supporting details. We worked on several stories that the kids did an awesome job on. So we made this anchor chart together explaining how supporting details work.
Next we used this awesome graphic organizer from Brain pop with a story we had just written as a class. We wrote the main idea on the top and the supporting details on the legs. It really helped the kids get a visual of how supporting details work.
