ohmuffins:

Today was the last day for my inclusion teacher’s student teacher. My inclusion teacher is with me for my morning classes working with my EC students — so naturally, as she took over, she was in my room for a great deal this semester. She’s an amazing teacher with a natural talent. Having her teach with me in my room has been easy: she just fits. From the moment she was in my room, I respected her as a teacher. I think you can tell a lot about someone by how students respond to them — the students respected and trusted her within days. She just had it. Errr, HAS it.
She came in the morning and gave me a “thank you” present: so she made a “C” with the whole melting crayon thing. She wrote the sweetest message on the back and gave me a card. Naturally, we hung it in the window with a make-shift “plaque” [ahem, pink post-it note] labeling her beautiful art work.
There’s been student teachers in our building, but I’ve never worked this closely with one. I will definitely miss her. Not just as a teacher, but as a friend. [She TOTALLY added me on Facebook this afternoon - I’m pretty sure she was just waiting until student teaching was over. Cute girl.]
Anyway. This is my post to say: Congratulations to all the student teachers who are done/close to being done. I hope you’ve had a fantastic experience and all that jazz.
